Authority of Scripture
The Bible communicates God’s saving message and is our reliable authority in all matters related to faith/Christian living. We at Living Hope Church believe that Scripture must be interpreted responsibly. To do this we utilize proven methodologies and Biblical Hermeneutics to draw original meaning and modern application from the text.
Salvation by Grace
The love and grace of God is extended to every person in the provision Jesus Christ made in his death and resurrection. By turning from our own selfishness and trusting Jesus Christ, we experience a new life, being freed from the old patterns of self-destructive acts called sin.
Christlikeness
Our new life in Jesus Christ is the gateway to personal transformation centered on the ‘Golden Rule’. When Jesus was asked: “Teacher, which commandment in the law is greatest?” He said to them “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Church
Those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord are called together to glorify God in local and worldwide expressions. This sacrament of Baptism signifies acceptance of the benefits of the atonement. The sacrament of Communion declares Christ’s death until He comes again. All believers may participate. God heals through prayers of faith and through medical assistance.
Eternity
All who live have an eternal destiny and those who trust in Jesus will inherit eternal life (heaven).
Trinity
We believe in one God who has expressed himself in personal ways. We know God’s personality as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
